Una de las grandes apuestas que nos llegará desde Barcelona y que hará las delicias de todos aquellos amantes de la historia de la fotografía es el Homenaje al Centre Internacional de Fotografía de Barcelona que se celebrará del 27 de enero de 2012 al 20 de mayo de 2012 en el MACBA.

Para ponernos en situación tenemos que remontarnos hasta 1978, año en que se fundó el Centro Internacional de Fotografía de Barcelona y gracias al cual se divulgó de forma excepcional la fotografía en la época de la transición española. El material expuesto estará compuesto por 600 fotografías inéditas, publicaciones y otros documentos que nos transportarán a este interesante centro y sus actividades llevadas a cabo en la ciudad condal.

One of the big bets that comes from Barcelona and this will delight all lovers of the history of photography is the Tribute to the International Centre of Photography in Barcelona to be held from January 27, 2012 to May 20, 2012 at MACBA.

Desde el 23 de noviembre y hasta el 18 de diciembre se puede visitar en Barcelona la exposición World Press Photo 2011,  bajo el lema “Ver para creer” .

En la exposición se invita a los visitantes a reflexionar sobre la importancia y el papel de la fotografía documental en la actualidad, un medio que cada vez se está perdiendo más a favor del vídeo. Esta es la séptima vez que se exponen las fotografías de este concurso en el Centre de Cultura Contemporània. La exposición recoge las 170 fotografías ganadoras de este prestigioso premio de periodismo entre los que se encuentran 3 fotógrafos españoles.

La edición del año pasado del World Press Photo atrajo a más de 35.400 visitantes y está considerada una de las más importantes en el ámbito del fotoperiodismo por la cualidad de las fotografías.
