SaverioKampa. Arquitectura solitaria

Arquitecto de formación,  SaverioKampa es fotografo por vocación y autodidacta en el apasionante mundo de la fotografía. Comenzó a mediados de los 90 con su primera cámara réflex analógica para documentar sus viajes, siendo fundamentalmente durante los dos años que vivió en Roma, cuando más intensamente desarrolló su afición y su técnica.

A través de sus fotografías,  SaverioKampa trata de aportar una visión formada y crítica sobre la plasticidad de las formas y un punto de vista que transmita con belleza la realidad y los volúmenes, en constante juego con la luz. Sus fotografías no tienen otra pretensión más que la de transmitir lo que siente en determinadas atmósferas y lugares, mostrando un especial interés por la fotografía nocturna,  ya que le permite destacar las cualidades de cada ciudad y su arquitectura solitaria expuesta con el juego escenográfico de la iluminación artificial.

SaverioKampa. Lonely architecture

SaverioKampa is a trained architect, but a self-taught photographer by vocation in the exciting world of photography. He began in the mid 90’s with his first analog SLR camera to document his travels, being mainly during the two years he lived in Rome, where he developed more intensely his love for photography and its techniques.

Through his photographs,  SaverioKampa aims to provide a trained and critical view on the plasticity of forms, and also a point of view forward, with beauty, the reality and the plasticity of volumes in constant play with light. His photographs have no other intention but to convey what he feels in certain atmospheres and places, showing aspecial interest in night photography because it allows him to highlight the qualities of each city and its lonely architecture, exposed to the theatrical play and effect of artificial lighting.

Al observar la galería de Carlos Ramírez Arellano del Rey alias delreycarlos, he revivido la sensación de las calles vacías como cuando ví por primera vez “Abre los ojos”, la película de Alejandro Amenábar. En una de sus escenas, la Gran Vía madrileña aparecía totalmente desahibitada, algo totalmente inusual, casi imposible. De una manera similar, delreycarlos hace un recorrido impecable por el corazón de Madrid; impecable por la nitidez, por la fidelidad con la que retrata cada detalle, por su deshabitada y escalofriante originalidad. Este “vacío” unido a una estudiada técnica, es lo que sin duda hace que sea una serie de imágenes únicas, de autor. Hay que pestañear más de una vez para mirarlas y no perderse en la profundidad de la imagen.

When looking at the Gallery by Carlos Ramírez Arellano del Rey aka delreycarlos, I revived the feeling of emptiness as when I first saw “Abre los ojos” the film by Alejandro Amenábar. In one of its scenes, Madrid’s  famous Gran Vía appeared uninhabited, something quite unsual and almost impossible in real life. In a similar manner, delreycarlos makes a seamless journey through the heart of Madrid city with an impeccable clarity and faithfulness with which he portrays every detail. And it is this chilling feeling of emptiness coupled with a studied technique, what converts his images in something unique and so special… You’ll need to blink more than once, unless you want to get lost in the depth of each image.

Mario Entero is a freelance adventure and travel photographer based in Fuerteventura, Spain. Inspired by the beauty of the places, his travels around the seven seas and his spirit of adventure, Mario Entero’s images capture the full range of the active outdoor lifestyle -from awe-inspiring action to people within grand landscapes-.

Aunque los rascacielos no sean el símbolo que mejor caracterice la ciudad de Londres, comenzamos esta pequeña muestra con Office Tower, una fotografía en blanco y negro del fotógrafo Axalo. La instantánea está protagonizada por el contrapicado de dos edificios de la zona de South Bank de Londres, donde el hormigón marca la pauta para mostrar un degradado de claroscuros que enfatizan la perspectiva que conduce nuestra mirada hasta el cielo. Dentro de esta misma muestra dedicada a la capital británica, destacamos además otra serie de obras tomadas en otros lugares más reconocibles como el London Eye, Piccadilly Circus o el metro de Londres.

Although skyscrapers are not the symbol that best characterizes the city of London, we start this selection of artworks showing Office Tower, a black & white photography taken by  Axalo. The image is led by the low-angle shot of two buildings facing each other, where the cement sets the pace to show a gradient of contrasts that emphasizes the view which draws our gaze to the sky. Within this same article dedicated to the British capital, we also highlight another series of artworks taken in other more recognizable places as the London Eye, Picadilly Circus or the London Underground.
